Bars & Restaurants image
The after effects of Hurricane Ian are still being felt and many bars and restaurants were destroyed. Work goes on in repairs and as each week goes by more and more businesses on the island are re-opening, some in temporary or mobile premises. Follow Beach Talk Radio on Facebook or Twitter for latest updates.

The condominiums are situated mid-island,  closest amenities are at Santini Plaza , 7205 Estero Blvd, which is around 1 mile, 20 minutes’ walk away.
Around 4 miles north is the Fort Myers Beach Pier and the commercial area known as Times Square, which again has been impacted by Hurricane Ian and many are yet to reopen or are in temporary accommodation. If you don’t want to drive, it is an easy journey on the Fort Myers Beach Trolley, the cost is $0.75c per person. A taxi costs around $15 each way. The taxis I use are Peake Island Taxi 239-744-8293 there is also Uber & Lyft available on the island. Be sure to tell the Taxi company that you are in building 1 at Bay Village situated behind the Catholic Church.
There are a number of restaurants in Times Square, including, La Ola Surfside Restaurant (Tex-Mex) with live music; Mr. Waves Island Bar; Bella Mozzarella Pizza and a number of food trucks and temporary bars.
Just a few yards away is Old San Carlos Blvd where you will find the Yucatan Beach Stand Bar & Grill; Smokin’ Oyster Brewery (for the best seafood on the beach); Snug Harbor Waterfont Restaurant, Nervous Nellie’s Crazy Waterfront Eatery with great views of the harbour and the shrimp fishing fleet Wahoo WIllie's Tiki Bar & Grill and The Upper Deck Bar with live music every night. Walking back down Crescent Street, opposite Margaritaville there is The Lighthouse Island Resort which is open until 2am and has live music at the weekends. Bayside Park, between Snug Harbor & Nervous Nellie's  has a live concert on a Sunday between 4pm and 7pm with some of the best local bands. Across the bridge you will find Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grill; Bonita Bill's Bar & Fishouse and Parrot Key Caribbean Grill all of which have waterfront dining and views back to the Island.
Walking south along Estero Blvd, you will come to Margaitaville Beach Resort which has a number of bars and restaurants with live music nightly.
Also on the island, behind Publix, and worth a visit are Junkanoo Below Deck and the Fresh Catch Bistro
